Michael Church
Michael values both academic and real-world experience and has drawn upon both to forge a career in investment and corporate finance, management accounting, and project management. Michael thrives on challenges facing 21st-century business and enjoys strategic collaboration to help teams improve financial and operational management, as well as internal and external reporting.
Early in his career, Michael spent over a decade refining skills in financial analysis, derivative-based risk management, and quantitative forecasting. After working for two investment banking firms, Michael transitioned to the privately held business sector where he directed the commodity trading and financial risk management division for a northwest regional company. Prior to establishing a consulting business, Michael also spent three years as portfolio manager for a private-placement hedge fund.
Michael’s experience draws from a career anchored in financial analysis and modeling, corporate financial planning and oversight, and an innovative approach to project management.
Michael is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants; the Association of Financial Professionals in Business, and is certified in Project Management from Portland State University. Michael has held numerous SEC (FINRA) and CFTC series licenses throughout his career and has served on the boards of various community non-profits, providing pro bono financial services.
Scott Larson
Scott has over 15 years of experience within accounting and finance functions in industries including retail and consumer goods, public accounting and consulting, property management, outdoors and recreation, and hospitality industries. While serving in these roles he has developed habits of projecting positivity, maintaining a solutions-based focus, and streamlining processes for greater efficiency.
Scott leads by example and his passion for continuous improvement is contagious. He holds two degrees in Accounting, including a MAcc from Westminster College.
Kristen Sagan
Kristen brings a wealth of experience, from large public and small private organizations, where she has served in various accounting, finance, and management roles across multiple industries. She enjoys contributing her decades of diverse experience to solving client problems, creating smart processes, and delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. From mature public companies to startups, global manufacturing to service, outdoor industry to food and energy, she has held roles in accounting, project management, sustainability, and human resources.
Kristen thrives on building relationships, listening and collaborating to find the best possible solutions, and becoming your trusted “business therapist”. She holds an Accounting degree from The Ohio State University.
